Being Camp
Being Camp, which takes place from 15 to 28 July 2024, in two cycles of seven days.

As a Being Gathering spin-off, Being Camp provides a more immersive and individual experience. It’s a call for everyone that always approaches the Boom Team for a more holistic camping experience.

The program for each of the cycles is different. Activities take place in a more scattered schedule and don’t coincide with each other.

This means you can take it slow, have time for everything and enjoy every little bit.

The purpose is the same as the Being Gathering: a fusion of arts, community life, music, workshops, therapies, yoga practices and coexistence at Boomland. It is a camping experience dream come true for family, friends or to simply have some relaxing time on your own.
The Being Camp is a Being Gathering spin-off, a holistic camping format inspired by the Being Gathering. It’s a fusion of well-being, arts, nature and music, but not with a full program like Being Gathering.

Your calling & the calling of the Being spirit are strong. We’re honoured to create a sharing space for you.

FAQS
IS THE BEING CAMP ACCESSIBLE?
  • We wish to offer the best conditions possible to Beings who live with disabilities, but please keep in mind that Boomland has rough terrain and extreme temperatures.
  • There are accessible toilets and showers on site. There is a fridge at the Infirmary, in case you need to store medicine.
  • If you live with disabilities and you are coming to the Being Camp, please inform our local nurse at info@being-gathering.org
IS THERE A SPECIAL AREA FOR CHILDREN AND TEENS?
  • The Being Camp is for everyone! Children are very welcome at the camp. We invite all parents and kids to be part of it.
  • The temperatures at Boomland can be quite high and the risk of dehydration and sunburn are there. Be mindful of these situations. Keep your kids protected from the sun by always wearing a hat and give them a lot of water.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
We recommend that you travel light and bring only what you really need. Prepare for hot weather during the day, and cold temperatures at night. Bring a bicycle, if you like cycling in nature. Free water is available on site. Also please bring your yoga mat for your comfort during workshops and activities.

Here’s a list of essentials for a comfortable stay at the Being Camp:
  • Fleece or jumper, long pants and socks (it can get cold at night!)
  • Swimwear (although you can also go without…)
  • Some light clothing for hot weather
  • A sarong or beach scarf
  • Boots or trainers to protect feet from dry, harsh terrain
  • Flip-flops
  • Sunglasses
  • Non-toxic sunscreen
  • Non-toxic shampoo, soap and toothpaste
  • A hat
  • Portable ashtray (all Guests will receive one upon arrival)
  • Water refill container
  • A cloth, which you can wet and wrap around your head/body to cool down
  • A bath towel
IS THERE WI-FI?
  • No. Enjoy this opportunity to be fully present.
  • Unplug 2 Connect: you will be more connected when you disconnect from technology.

IS THERE A CLEANING SERVICE INCLUDED IN THE STAR TENTS?
  • Bedsheets are changed every cycle.
  • If you wish to change your bedsheets ahead of time, you may request so at the Reception (10€ fee)
  • There is no laundry service or laundry facilities at Boomland.
WHAT KIND OF TOILETS AND SHOWERS ARE THERE?
  • At Boomland you can find compost toilets, which are dry and free of putrid smells known to emanate from the conventional toilet.
  • There will be hot and cold showers available.
  • Toilets and showers are all-gender.
WHAT FOOD OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE?
  • The local restaurant serves nourishing, carefully prepared omnivorous and vegetarian meals.
  • Upon making your reservation, you can choose between a stay with full board or half board. Whichever option you choose, it is also possible to enjoy single meals. Know More.
  • The Beach Bar serves pizzas, light meals and drinks and at the Grocery you can find local or organic snacks and drinks.
CAN I COOK AT THE BEING CAMP?
  • It is not possible to cook your own food at the Being Camp.
  • Upon booking your stay, you may opt for a full or half board or get single meals at our yummy local Restaurant.
  • There is also a Beach Bar with pizzas, light meals and drinks and a Grocery with local/organic drinks and snacks.
CAN I MAKE A FIRE?
Absolutely not. Fire risk is EXTREMELY HIGH at Boomland.
Please don’t put yourself, others, and nature at risk.
IS THERE AN ATM MACHINE?
  • There is no ATM machine on site. Please come prepared.
  • The Beach Bar and the Bar & Grocery have automated payment terminals.
  • The automated payment terminal at the Bar & Grocery also serves the Restaurant.
  • Individual massages and therapies can only be paid in cash.
CAN I BRING MY OWN GENERATOR?
No, be respectful of your neighbours and save your carbon footprint.
CAN I BRING GLASS BOTTLES WITH ME?
No. Glass creates a high risk of injury, maximises fire risk and increases rubbish around the site. Please pour your drinks into plastic or stainless steel containers.
CAN I BRING PETS?
Pets are not allowed into Boomland, for their own safety. The extreme climate might prove harsh for animals that are not used to these conditions. Moreover the Boomland is abundant of leishmaniasis, a disease that is deadly to animals.
SHOULD I BRING A BICYCLE?
Biking is a great way to get around at Boomland. Bring yours and don’t forget to also bring a lock to keep it safe.
IS THERE A MEDICAL SERVICE ON SITE?
  • There is an Infirmary onsite, operating during daytime to provide basic care and first-aid.
  • A fridge is available to keep medicine, if necessary. Please contact our local nurse at info@being-gathering.org if you need to store medicine during your stay.
CAN I BRING A SOUND SYSTEM?
  • No. Respect the land and the silence.
  • Sound Journeys are part of the activities program, in case you wish to listen to music.
IS THERE FREE DRINKING WATER?
Yes. Bring your own bottle and look for the water taps around Boomland. The water comes from the public grid and it is regularly analysed by health and safety inspections.
CAN I SWIM IN THE LAKE?
Yes. But do not use chemicals (soaps, lotions, etc.) on your body that might pollute the lake and do not do your physiological needs in the water. Thank you.
IS THE LAKE SUPERVISED BY A LIFEGUARD?
No.
IS THE WATER FROM THE LAKE CLEAN?
The water from the lake is analysed several times, it is not proper to drink but good to swim in.
CAN I BRING MY DRONE?
Drones are not allowed. Please respect the privacy of others around you and enjoy the present moment.
